Founded in 1781, Kuchaman is a heritage town, belongs to Nagaur district of Rajasthan. Alike Shekhawati region, the fresco painting style Havelis are major attraction of Kuchaman. It’s widely known as Siksha Nagri [Education City].  

 

Places of interest- 

 

[1Kuchaman fort – Standing tall a hilltop, 1100 years old Kuchaman Fort, with it’s impressive ramparts, manifold terraces, balconies, and viewing points, recall the ancient era. The magnificent fort is now converted into Heritage hotel to give visitors a chance to experience bygone royal era. It offers a breathtaking view, overlooking the entire town.   

  

[2] Sheesh Mahal- It is house of mirrors, right inside the Kuchaman Fort.  

 

[3] Other PlacesMeena bazaar, Meera Mahal, Sunheri BurjJal Mahal [Water Palace].  

 

[4] Sambar Salt Lake – It’s a natural gigantic salt water spring, being an excellent place for bird watcher. Migrating birds are in plenty here. 

 

[5] Panchota – Located towards East 12 KM from Kuchaman, Panchota is a traditional Rajasthani village. Panchota Fort and mysterious Panchota Kund [ Water tank] are major attractions here. 

 

 

Getting there- 

 

By Air- Jaipur airport is 145km from Kuchaman. 

 

By TrainNarayanpura Junction is the nearest train station.  

 

By Road- Kuchaman is well connected to other cities of Rajasthan by road.
